Introducing our parody personnel motto: Boys Will Be Employed.
The Guardian counts four of eight female Cabinet officials gone, replaced by men; Hegseth and Patel remain amid scrutiny.
In an imaginary White House training session, a gentleman lists his principal achievement: being here. Excellent. A lesser employer would ask what he achieved while here, discriminating against the important work of continuing to be here.
His résumé now includes crisis management. There was a crisis; he managed to remain. Institutional stability? Still here. Leadership under pressure? You will notice the chair remains occupied.
The instructor raises the bar with a demanding follow-up: can he remain here tomorrow? Several hands shoot up. Such a deep bench. So much accumulated expertise in the location of one’s own office.
The training session concludes with a medal for Outstanding Continued Employment. No allegation has to become a finding for the public to ask why some careers seem to possess so many extra lives.
Boys will be boys. The cabinet would hate to lose that expertise.
